The theme chosen for the Bankers' conference 2008 ‘Morphing banks into financial services conglomerates-New opportunities in the emerging global scenario’ is actually an invitation to the bright minds of the industry to visualize and deliberate upon the future of banking industry.
This has become important in the wake of imminent consolidation of the financial sector and also the increasingly critical role of Financial Services organisations in financial intermediation in the country.
Apart from this and all related issues being debated by the industry experts in the conference, the host organisations intend to take the discourse beyond the two days of BANCON 08.
Accordingly papers are invited from experts, professionals in the Indian banking industry, policy-making bodies and other institutions of finance, both Indian as well as international on key issues of future banking like Banking covering the following topics:

  • Banking: The New Financial Services Model
  • Competing With Financial Services Companies: Need For A Level Playing Field

  • Regional Commercial Banks Versus The National Monoliths: Who Is Suited Better To Perform In The New Diversified Economy
